Our roots are in the turfing industry which is where it all began as a family business back in the 70’s. Our knowledge of creating lawns and caring for them is in our DNA.

What you need to know about planning a new lawn installation?

Should I turf or seed my lawn?
Turfing creates an instantly perfect lawn any time of year, a lawn you can be using and mowing within 2-4 weeks of installation. Seeding a lawn can take 6-8 weeks to become established. It needs to be installed during the growing period and within the correct window of weather which as we all know can be tricky here in the UK. Seeding requires careful watering through out this period.
Will weeds still be an issue after the grass has taken?
We’ll spray all weeds before the soil prep work starts if required. This kills them off completely but new weeds will grow eventually although regular mowing keeps these at bay. During grass seed installations weeds have a better fighting chance to grow back at the same time as the grass.

Will a new lawn installation fix our drainage problems?
A new lawn can help with slight drainage issues. Should you need to resolve a serious drainage problem we might need to construct a French drain system or better soil type we can help with that too.
Do you remove all waste and where does it go?
Yes we remove all waste off site to a suitable recycling facility. We also hold an Environmental waste carriers license.
Do you offer a warranty on new lawns?
We stand behind our workmanship and have the experience to tackle all problems as over the years we’ve dealt with everything you can imagine. However Turf health depends on the aftercare maintenance which we will guide you through until you are confident you can keep you new lawn looking lush and green forever.
Do you offer a mowing and aftercare service?
Yes we offer an aftercare service we can discuss this at the time of the install.
